It is seen that i have not enough time to write in the blog without admission test circular. Last year i also did same thing. OK now coming to the point. Season of Admission in universities been started already. A matter of tension also with me. My younger sister is also going to attend varsity admission exam from Humanities group.

Our university got a huge response last year as the application system was digital through mobile phone. But we wish to have student to attend in the exam from different parts of the country. Just the students from this northern region are getting admitted in this university.

The registration precess starts from 1st October 2010 and will be ended at 30th November 2010. You have to apply from your Teletalk Prepaid mobile phone. All of the unit charges 500 tk as registration process. If two different student wants to apply from the same number, it is possible.

Here is an example i am giving how to send SMS. Write this way and send to 16222

HSTU-space-DIN-space-123456-space-2010-space-A

DIN is the Education Board first three letter.
123456 is the HSC Roll No.
2011 is the Passing year.
A is the Name of unite.

DBBL ATM Booth in HSTU campus

It's about seven years ago i saw my friend and his uncle used to withdraw money from the ATM booth. But i got the experiences last year when involving with freelancing. According to their information DBBL(Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited) has a large ATM network covering the whole country. Another important concern is that most of the shopping mall supports e-Payment through DBBL card.

Last year a huge amount of student created their bank account on DBBL. We are bound to go to the town for cash withdraw. We are badly in need of a ATM booth for both cases like local transaction and international transaction. Some days ago we were informed that DBBL has not any direct gateway for the international withdraw from Moneybookers.com . That way it was taking 12$ for conversion charge and others per withdraw. Some of the student opened account on BRAC bank to avoid this sort of problem.

Some days ago i went to DBBL, Dinajpur branch to know the progress of ATM setup in campus. I met with Manager of DBBL, Dinajpur branch. He got amazed why i went him to ask about the matter. "This is the matter related to the university authority, not with you" he replied. I just explained that was my query when it will be launched. Because you promised in the last IT Festival that there will be a ATM booth with in one month.

Last day after my class i was waiting for my friends. Once i saw that Manager of DBBL, Dinajpur branch is coming. Looking at me he just smiled and told me that proposal of setting up a ATM is approved in Regent board meeting. Nice to hear and imagine, having a ATM booth in campus.

Freelancing Practice in our university

I can remind myself one of my friend named Mamun asked me to manage a tuitions (Student teaching job). I refused him because how I can manage where I am searching one. By the way it is a story one year back. But Mamun is now self supported boy, he used to manage his pocket-money by himself.

This is the one story of Mamun, but I can tell you the story of hundreds of story. The amount of self earned boy increasing day by day. Key topic I would like to inform you that this environment came by the way of online Freelancing job.

Wordpress Faruk, Spining Eng Bijon, Article specialist Riyad, Mirco Rasel, Micro Anirban are the common face with their designation in our campus. Minimum 5000$ earned by the students of our campus per month. Hopping it will be increased to double by one year. Around 50 students are earing a minimum 5000/- BDT per month.

Once there was a time the boys used to pass their time by watching movie and Bangla Natok around the whole day. I have seen there are some rooms in Zia hall which is living room, but practically a Cinema hall. But the environment got changed, boys are passing time on Facebook. Not to chat but for their job purpose.

In each room you may see boys are browsing Freelancer.com, Odesk.com, Microworkers.com, Blogger.com, Wordpress.org and like this way. When we are in Nanir Dokan (Tea Stall), might gossip about the payment system or biding on Elance. Nice journey, nice environment.

Our respected teacher Asish Kumar Mondol informed us that this practice is being continuing in SUST since six years ago. Now we are on the same journey.

Hajee Dahesh (HSTU) Admission Test Circular - 2011

Here i am after a long time. I would like to inform you that our university published admission test circular - 2010 today morning. It was published before someday through newspapers. But this morning it is published on website.

Feeling proud to think that we are second university who implemented digital registration process through mobile phone. Last year it was done experimentally in SUST(Sahjalal University). It got a tremendous success and now being implemented in different university.

I can remind myself that i collected my admission form through coaching center and i had to bear an extra cost of 150tk. But within four year the environment getting totally changed now by digitalization.

Hajee Danesh Admission Test Result 2010

Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) successfully completed the admission test. A festive look took around the university. We were busy in serving the new students.

Different organization gave their support desk in the way of examination hall. New student was asking the sit plan mentioning their roll no. Some of the student and their guardian wanted to take rest for a while. They were taken to the guest rooms of residential halls.

One of the guy asked me regarding the exam that "What are the techniques of doing well in the exam hall?" Ya, i suggested him some short techniques.

Some of the student came to varsity one day ago and contacted to their known senior brothers to stay in the residential hall. My room was also filled with boys came from different area of the country. Its amazing experience that we did not sleep the whole night, passed that night gossiping with senior brothers.

University day of HSTU 2009

11th September is the historical day in the life of the university (HSTU). HSTU is the only one unique light bearer of Science and Technology in the Northern area of Bangladesh. According to the Dr. Kudrati khuda education commission report it was proposed to set up an agricultural institute for the agricultural development in the Rajshahi Division.

Following that in 1979 it started it’s walking as an Agricultural Extension Training Institute (AETI) to award a three years diploma in Agriculture. The AETI was later on upgraded to Hajee Mohammad Danesh Agricultural College in 1988 having an affiliation from the Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh to offer a four-year bachelor degree in Agriculture.

In order to create furthermore facilities to produce skilled manpower in science, technology and research in particular, the college was ultimately upgraded to the status of a university renaming it as Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU).

11th September 1999 the university act was granted in parliament. We are felling happy to enjoy the university day together. Many programs arranged to observe the day. All the student with same T-shirt was looking really nice. We are proud of our university.

This is my great pleasure to write something on the ceremony of IT Festival-2009
celebrating in HSTU campus. For the first time this event is taking place in this university. IT Festival has gained a remarkable popularity among the enthusiastic students of our university. IT Quiz, Seminar, Workshop, Film Festival, Wall Magazine, Gaming contest, Cultural Program, Software exhibition and Programming Contest and more.

Programming contest took place two times in this university. Computer programming has become so popular in our university that not only the CSE students but also the other
faculty’s students are very much interested to participate in this event.

We would thank CSE faculty and CSEA Association has been working their
best for the expansion of IT necessities among the enthusiastic young generation of
Bangladesh.

Final (CSE 2nd Batch) Year students presentation of HSTU

Today 11 February, was the presentation day of Final year(CSE 2nd Batch) student's projects of our university. This program was arranged in the IRT presentation gallery. Total 13 students are going to complete their B.Sc degree this year. Most of our students have submitted projects on web-site management. One of them designed Online result processing system. Another one did project on Online shopping.

Our department teachers were present there. Our newly appointed Dean sir was chief guest there. External teacher came from Rajsahi University. They admired the students for their extra ordinary performance. He also admired the presentation system in our university. This will increase the power of speaking in front of viewers.

In this type of programs, the students of junior level and other faculty are the main visitors who has the opportunity of asking about the project to project owner. This will make clear the matter to the visitors. Project owner will be marked according to their performance.

HSTU admission test result has been published

Its a joy for us that the new session 2008-2009 admission test has been taken and result been published. Result are available in akashghuri.com and newhstu.freehostia.com .

Around 7500 student attended the exam where 18000+ in Rangpur university. But i do not want to discuss the reasons. I think this university is playing a vital role in serving the higher education in our country. But some child like decision make me fed up.

Many madrsa student were unable to apply for the exam.
Question became total MCQ instead of written exam.
Exam date was too closer to attend in different places.
Result was not publised properly.

After all it was my first experience by helping in upload of the result with my friend. Some mistakes took place there. I am in fear that some case might be got wrong information by akashghuri.com website. But i suggest everyone to visi newhstu.freehostia.com to be sure.

A huge number of the students with brilliant results like GPA-5 in HSC examinations will not be able to get admission to the public universities and medical colleges because their number is much more than the number of seats in those institutions. Around 4.6 lakh students passed HSC examinations this year with the pass rate being 76.19 and 22,045 getting GPA-5. Pass percentage is more than 10 percent higher and GPA-5 achievers almost double compared to those last year.

A tough competition naturally happens for admission to all public universities. Academicians have suggested cancellation of admission tests, and introduction of a new system of admission on the basis of GPA (Grade Point Average) in SSC and HSC examinations to reduce the sufferings of admission seekers. Against this, the education ministry, University Grants Commission (UGC) and authorities of public universities at a meeting agreed to introduce group-wise admission test like that for admission to medical colleges.

UGC Chairman suggested introducing double shift or evening shift in public universities and renowned colleges to meet the present crisis. We have 14,750 seats in public universities, 17,330 in private universities, 1.65 lakh in National University (NU)- affiliated honours colleges and 2.34 lakh NU-affiliated degree colleges.Public universities including BUET, DU, Jahangirnagar University (JU), Rajshahi University (RU) Khulna University and Chittagong University (CU), public medical colleges, Dental colleges, Leather Technology College and Bangladesh Textile Technology College have only 20,000 seats. Of these, 885 seats are in BUET, around 4,500 in DU, around 1,350 in JU and 2,500 in public medical colleges

Meanwhile, taking advantage of this situation, coaching centres have mushroomed in the capital and other divisional headquarters with hollow promises of ensuring high scores in various admission tests. A large number students are already attending the coaching centres with consequent financial losses to their guardians.

Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University is a government financed public university of Bangladesh. This is the first and only Science and Technology University of the North Bengal(Rajshahi division).
